International Programs Mission Statement: The Seattle Colleges will educate our students to become well-prepared members of a global society.
Accreditation: The Seattle Colleges are two-year public institutions established in 1967 and accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities*, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the United States Department of Education. Locations: More than 51,000 students per year attend one of our three colleges, all of which are located within the Seattle city limits. Seattle Central College is located on Capitol Hill, an urban environment with easy access to downtown Seattle; North Seattle College is five miles north of the city center in a residential neighborhood; and South Seattle College is eight miles southwest of the city center on 87 acres overlooking the city from the West Seattle neighborhood.
Close to 3,000 international students attend our colleges each year. Each college offers intensive English programs as well as college transfer degrees to prepare for many academic majors. Each college also offers a unique group of Professional-Technical programs that range from 1-7 quarters and offer certificates or degrees. Three Bachelor of Applied Science degrees are offered at Central and South .
International students who choose to start their baccalaureate degrees at the Seattle Colleges will find excellent transfer agreements to prestigious universities such as the University of Washington, Seattle University, Arizona State University, Texas A&M, several University of California institutions and many others.
Student Services offer many support services for students, ranging from counseling and academic advising to tutoring, housing support, activities and student leadership opportunities.
