“is a field of education that focuses on … delivering education to students who are not physically “on site” to receive their education. Instead, teachers and students mat communicate at times of their own choosing by exchanging printed or electronic media, or through technology that allows them to communicate in real time. Distance education courses that require a physical on-site presence for any reason including the taking of examinations is considered to be a hybrid or blended course or program.”

At the Seattle Colleges we strive to ensure that eLearning classes provide you the same quality and benefits as on-campus classes and to ensure your academic experience is flexible and simple.

Like a traditional class, eLearning courses require the same dedication and self-discipline to succeed. You still have to read the textbook and/or other class reading materials, follow a syllabus, hand in your research and writing assignments on time, and do well on any quizzes or exams required for the course.
